Heliocode Doc@Hand Document Server is a secure document management system providing fast and convenient access to your files from anywhere on the Internet. It delivers a number of benefits to an organization: keep files in hierarchical folder structure; give access to them through the Internet; keep all versions of the file; securely transfer multiple files at the same time; resume downloads and uploads; monitor file transfers in the Download/Upload Queue; organize your list of favorite Doc@Hand Document Servers; exchange with links to the files stored in the system instead of sending them by email; find files by text fragment, creation or modification date, file size or comments; manage user access rights; keep track of all user actions with files; monitor usage statistics.
Documents are stored in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The system works as a Web-Service and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Doc@Hand client application is a Windows application. Multilingual user interface supports a few languages: English, Latvian and Russian. It is a good alternative to corporate FTP servers and email attachments. Distinguishing feature of the system is its simplicity and usability.
